I love the idea of formalwear in the daytime. It seems a shame to own such beautiful things and only be able to wear them once in a blue moon. As I am not one to pass up a lovely frock, just because I don’t “need” or have occasion for it, I look at this as a way to justify a closet full of dresses. I’m quite sure that this lacy number was intended for grander affairs. And maybe it will see one at some point. But, when paired with a panama hat and espadrilles, it becomes perfect for an afternoon outing. This way, you’ve gotten a little extra milage out of that dress you spent way too much on. And you’re guaranteed to be the best dressed at the farmer’s market. Two more ways to help you rationalize that gown you’ve been eyeing. You’re welcome.
