Believe it or not, I look forward to getting dressed each morning. It’s like putting that first stroke of color to a blank canvas; the possibilities are limitless and invigorating. But, truth be told, sometimes I do feel like I’m phoning it in. I mean, it’s not all that hard to match a sundress with a bracelet and a pair of sandals. So, when an actual outfit comes together like this, it makes me feel like I have some sense of style. I was on the fence about this look. There is a lot going on here: printed tee, patterned shorts, colorful scarf. But, what was one of my lesser favorite outfits pre-shoot became one of my favorite looks we’ve shot thus far. No, it doesn’t hurt that Michele is a genius behind the camera and the light was totally working for us that day. Those facts aside, I took a bit of a risk with this outfit and was more than pleasantly surprised with the result. My point? Take a risk every now and then. You just might be delighted with the outcome.
