I do not wear a lot of color. I realize this is difficult to believe from my rainbow of posts, but it’s true. I went through a long period in high school where I wore nothing but black. I blame it on a summer spent studying in New York. And, as you can see here, here and here, I now live in various shades of white. I love the crisp, serenity of white. I adore the sexy, chicness of black. There is something about a monochromatic look that says effortless style. Best of all, it’s really easy to throw together a one-color outfit. However, when you’re sporting a hue-less wardrobe, you sometimes run the risk of fading into the background. Or, even worse, resembling those around you. Which is why slipping into a brightly tinted ensemble is a simple way to stand out in a crowd. An overlooked bonus is that cheerful colors are a quick mood boost. Can’t you tell by my perky pout above?
