We’ve been experiencing some record-breaking highs as of late and, like most other Angelenos, I’ve been attempting to squeeze every last ounce out of summer. It’s difficult to accept that it’s fall when there isn’t a cloud in the sky and every day is still tank top weather. And I am channeling that denial into every aspect of my life. My drinks are iced, my convertible top is down and my shorts are short. It’s hard to transition to a fall wardrobe when, despite what the calendar reads, summer seems determined to stick around. But in a relatively seasonless city, we make our own style rules. Why switch to jeans when cutoffs are still an appropriate denim choice? Why rush the inevitable (10 degree) temperature drop? Sweater weather will be here soon enough. Although, if today’s thermometer is any indicator, it could be awhile.
