Truth time. I made it through my entire college career without ever attending a toga party. This was not for lack of interest, but more to do with the fact that I never received an invitation to one. Now whether this was to do with the matter that I was not a desirable date or just that toga parties were not in vogue while I was a student, I’m not sure. Either way, I do know that I’ve been drawn to Grecian-inspired threads ever since. I find the draping fabrics both modern and timeless, with a feminine elegance that I can’t get enough of. Maybe if I had been escorted to one of those fetes, I would have gotten this trend out of my system. But, as frat parties are now something I’ve put in my past (for very good reason), it looks like I will never have the opportunity to throw on that twin bed sheet. So, I’ll make due by finding the closest thing to it, taking the thematic dressing to the streets instead.
