Those who know me know that I wear many professional hats: actress, blogger, Pilates instructor, artist, tutor, the list goes on and on. But, despite my deep love of fashion, clothing designer has never been on that lineup. Until now.
As seen here, here, and here, I am bonkers for two-pieces. Can’t get enough of them. While recently perusing Shareen, my vintage venue of choice, I came across the dowdy dress pictured below. I thought to myself, “If only this were a two-piece.” Well, I must have been talking out loud (which led me to wonder how often I am in the habit of doing so) because Shareen replied, “We can do that.” So, along with her able team of seamstresses, we dissected and dissembled this maxi dress and reinvented it into the crop top and mini skirt combo you see here. Maybe designer is too generous a title. How about re-designer for now? Perhaps designer will be next on my list.
