As we grow older, we tend to come into our own and develop our signatures. Signature drink (champagne), signature hairstyle (long with curls) and signature style (short and feminine). But, every once in a while, it pays to think outside of the box in terms of signatures. Who’s to say that I won’t enjoy a beer or short haircut at some point in my life? (Actually, on both accounts, I am. Beer is bitter and makes me bloated and the last time I had short hair was in fourth grade. I liked it for a week.) Okay, so some signatures are pretty much set in stone, but others are meant to be flirted with. This vintage jumpsuit is totally uncharacteristic of me. It has a masculine flair that I typically shy away from. But I was drawn to the voluminous pockets and thought that it might be a fun piece to add to my closet full of party dresses. Definitely not my signature. I may never sport a pixie cut. But it doesn’t mean I can’t change things up with a pair of pants every now and then.
