If you haven’t yet noticed from the explosion of puppy pics, I am the proud new owner of this beautiful Papillon. Formerly Nobel Lancelot, his show days are behind him and he now simply goes by Pip. Part of the fun of having a new baby (aside from the constant love and cuddle sessions) is discovering all of the dog-centric havens Los Angeles has to offer. Here are a few of our current favorites.
P.S. If you’re not an Angeleno, check out the websites anyhow. A lots of these places ship!
This place is incredible. What could easily be mistaken for a gourmet restaurant, just like the name states, this kitchen is just food for dogs. Certified for human consumption (a lot of it looks better than what I have in my own refrigerator), their meals are prepared fresh daily. We like to switch it up, but Pip is currently partial to the Beef and Russet Potato.
Four awesome retail options around town. All have the boutiquey-vibe that I gravitate towards. I feel that each offer quality products that are not mass produced, insuring that my little love is getting the very best. Side note- Pip’s adorable plaid leash and collar combo was purchased at maxwell dog (yes, I make it to the Valley every once in a blue moon).
Though I haven’t boarded Pip here, I am a big fan of their grooming and non-anesthetic teeth cleaning. They also offer a great little boutique of products for your pooch.
Two wonderful veterinary options, especially for us Eastsiders. I highly recommend both female-run practices (love that).
As I mentioned in this post, these are my two favorite LA hikes. They provide a great workout, are semi-conventient to my home and, best of all, are very dog-friendly.
Enjoy, dog lovers! Every day with these little guys is a gift.
