I have a soft spot for jumpers. I remember my first jumper (or, at least, I have some memory of a jumper in my past). It was Oshkosh B’gosh and was pink corduroy with overall straps. Jumpers seem to have a reputation for being somewhat childish. Perhaps that is because we associate them with brands with rhyming monikers. I, however, happen to disagree. Given the right cut, fabric, etc., a jumper can in fact be quite grown-up, in a sexy, ladylike sort of way. Take this L’ecole Des Femmes number, for instance. It still has the criss-cross straps, but is elevated with wool ruffles and a fitted cut. A far cry from my pink cords, it is a little less French braid and a little more French maid.
