The title of today’s post has dual meanings. First, the phrase, “Ten-hut,” is a way of calling attention in the military. And second, that is exactly what this little military dress did the moment it caught my eye. As is probably obvious given this forum, I am a fan of both the internet and shopping. Put your hands together and that’s when the magic really begins to sparkle. But, this wasn’t quite an online purchase. One of my favorite ways to find out about new trends, designers latest offerings, etc. is to stalk web pages and social media. Well, true to form, one morning I was slouched over my laptop, perusing the most recent acquisitions of my favorite vintage shop, Shareen Vintage. Amongst the snapshots, this adorable mini dress called to me. Tiny, with a circle skirt, fitted waist and costumey details, I knew that this dress had to be mine. Now, as is pretty much always the case with vintage, this dress was one-of-a-kind. Knowing this, I raced to the store. Lo and behold, my dress was still there (granted, I drove down there literally right after they posted the picture). And, wouldn’t you know, it fit like a glove. It’s almost as if it was meant to be. Duh. Of course it was meant to be. Another match made in closet heaven.
