I have been blogging for a number of months now. I’ve posted dozens of outfits. Surprisingly, however, I have never written a post about that closet staple- the Little Black Dress. Maybe it is an antiquated notion, but I grew up with the understanding that every woman has a few wardrobe requirements, one of which is the little black dress. Now, as much as I have a flair for the dramatic, there is still part of me that loves the classic basics. Provided, of course, that those so-called basics have an individualistic, stylish twist. Making them not so basic after all. So, scratch that. While I appreciate the classic, you can bet that my traditional pieces will have my own personal spin. After all, what is fashion if not fun? Here’s my twist on the party-perfect little black dress. Layers upon layers of fabric guarantee that this little number will never get lost in the back of the closet.
