Leather doesn’t particularly scream loungewear. But, when it comes to our second New Year’s Eve ensemble, it just might. This dressed-down leather outfit was actually kind of a serendipitous mistake. I’d intended to shoot a dress-up version with lacy stockings and flirty heels. But, when my stocking got a run, I improvised, throwing on a grandpa sweater and pair of booties that I happened to have in the backseat. Definitely a different feel than what I’d initially planned, but stylish none the less. While this is a little too laid back for hitting the clubs, it would be perfect for ringing in a quiet new year with your nearest and dearest. Stay tuned tomorrow for one final party look. Spoiler alert- it includes some over-the-top sparkle!
P.S. Remember how I said all of my clothes have a story (here)? Well, this dress has a good one. It was actually worn by Demi Moore. I worked at a company that produced one of her films. After shooting, we got dibs on the wardrobe that Ms. Moore didn’t want. As she and I are the same size, I scored a ton of cool pieces. LA survival at it’s finest!
