Truth be told, I have been in a bit of a funk for the past few days. Maybe it’s the chilly-for-LA weather. Perhaps I picked up a bit of the bug that seems to be going around. But, for whatever reason, I’ve been feeling less than my normal, quirky self. Luckily, I happen to have a few tricks for busting myself out of a slump such as this. First of all, I get moving. I take a ballet class, go for a hike, just do something to get my pulse up. Second, I do something nice for myself. Usually, a quick trip to Drybar does the trick. And finally, I dress up. I know that when you feel icky, the last thing you want to do is get dolled up. But, when I look cute and perky, I actually feel cute and perky. Which is a pretty easy way to cheer yourself up if you think about it.
