I have been acting on and off for years now. There are a lot of things that I love about the job: getting paid to make-believe, constant hair and makeup, even more constant flow of catering and craft services, etc. Among those perks is the chance to work with really talented stylists (and take home some cute wardrobe every now and then, too). Very early on, I learned a stylist trick that I still use to this day- pile it on. Wardrobe stylists are always layering things. You’re rarely just wearing a casual dress. You’re wearing a dress with a collared shirt peeking out from underneath and a jacket layered on top. Don’t forget some tights, a couple of pieces of jewelry and a cool handbag. And, to top it all of, probably a hat. So, come to think of it, I didn’t do a very good job of piling it on here. I could definitely have gone with a few more layers. But, hey. I’m no stylist.
