You know that pile of old t-shirts in the back of your closet? No? Just me? Well, I have a big pile of old t-shirts that I just can’t seem to give up. And I’m not sure why. Nearly all of them were given to me, either as hand-me-downs from friends or family or as some sort of event take-away. And almost none of them are flattering or fit well. Yet I can’t seem to get rid of them. Probably because, though unattractive, these old tees make for the perfect loungewear. Comfy and oversized, I love throwing on one of these bad boys with a pair of sweats when I get home at night. But, why let the fun stop there? Just for kicks, I decided to wear one out the other day. As I didn’t think they’d let in most places sporting my preferred sweats and t-shirt combo, I up-styled my free-with-membership KCRW tee with some more fashionable choices. I think the result turned out pretty chic in an I-don’t-care-but-really-I-do-care sort of way. Which, truthfully, is the image I try to project most days.
