I’m an anything-but-basic dresser. At the same time, I wouldn’t (for the most part) label myself as cutting edge either. I’d like to think of myself as somewhere in between the two. While definitely not boring, I am not exactly breaking boundaries. It’s more about elevating the basics. Take this outfit as an example. A ladylike sweater and skirt, with my own personal twist. As opposed to a traditional pencil skirt, I opted for a slightly more dramatic fishtail. And I love the sequined collar (detachable for the not-so-brave) on the otherwise sweet sweater. Consider these elevated basics a way to stand out without screaming for attention. Because you’re better than that.
