I love the idea of a “Wow” factor. You know, that standout piece of the ensemble that really knocks your socks off. Be it a bold piece of jewelry, a fabulous pair of pumps or a statement skirt, I always have fun playing with a wow factor. My only issue is limiting myself to just one. Sometimes I indulge my dramatic side and go for a couple. Which can be really awesome, especially on-camera. The problem is that too many wow factors can become a little overwhelming in real life. Although I do like to treat every day like a photo shoot, this may not be your thing. Which is why, for the sake of the not-so-bold, I kept it simple today (if you can call a heavily embellished skirt simple) and stuck to one wow factor. This leather and stone skirt is like a work of art and piece of jewelry all rolled into one, so I avoided accessories all together. I kept the entire palate in black, eschewing even the smallest sliver of skin so that all attention would be on the skirt. And when you’re wearing a piece as fabulous as this, why would you want eyes looking anywhere else?
