People always ask me if I’m scared that I’ll run out of clothes for my blog. The answer is no. For two reasons. First of all, not only do I have an overflowing closet, I also have a wicked shopping habit. And second, I am pretty creative with my clothing, if I do say so myself. Take, for example, this dress. Psych! This chic, black and white number isn’t a dress, but rather a coat. It seems a shame to only be able to wear our favorite pieces only every now and again. So recently I’ve been separating separates, mixing up sets and repurposing items to breathe a bit of new life into my wardrobe. I love this statement coat from Kelly Wearstler. But, as LA’s temperatures are on the up and up, outerwear is rapidly becoming an afterthought. As opposed to shoving it into the back of my closet until next Fall, I decided to button it up tight and wear my beloved coat out as a dress. Thinking outside the box can help you multiply your wardrobe without spending a dime. Extra incentitive is that you really can leave the house with nothing underneath your coat and the outside world will be none the wiser. If that does it for you. It’ll be our little secret.
