I have been working out a lot recently. Like a lot. Which has led to many positive effects in my daily life. I am feeling better, looking stronger and am an overall nicer person (just ask my fellow commuters). I can’t see any real downsides to exercising like a maniac, except for one. Somedays I am exhausted. Like fall asleep on the couch midday exhausted. Which isn’t extremely beneficial when I have places to be in the afternoon. And, quite frankly, this fatigue is messing with my fashion. Because there are days when I am too tired to put on anything terribly stylish. Or when my body is too sore to tolerate anything more than loungewear. As I would like to maintain both my fitness habits and my sense of style, I have been stocking up on comfortable basics that don’t look too sloppy. Basics like this oversized flannel and leggings. Super comfy, the next best thing to jammies. Though a mini dress this ensemble is not, I do think it can pass for semi-chic when styled with booties, an oversized bag and a bit of jewelry. The only bummer is it’s hiding all of my hard work at the gym. Oh well.
