I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I haven’t been around much as of late (blog-wise that is). I haven’t been able to shake this fatigue since I returned from Hawaii a week ago. Champagne problems, I know, but still. The time difference is only three hours, so I can’t blame jet lag. I think part of it is just the letdown of returning home. Traveling is a high. And, returning to the real world? Well, no matter how ideal your real world may be, it’s just a bit of a disappointment. The day to day routine pales in comparison to the daily surprises and discoveries on holiday. The only remedy the pain is the promise of another journey. Luckily, I booked my next one whilst in Hawaii, so I have something to look forward to. For me, that’s what it’s all about. Always having something to look forward to. Creating that light at the end of the tunnel. Until then, I’ll spend my free moments researching and planning for my next great escape. And for those times when it seems much too far away? A little snuggle from my Pipsqueak always makes everything better.
