Oldies but Goodies

AS9A8469_LRI am the queen princess of anti-aging.  Sunscreen, eye creams, other unmentionables, I love ’em all.  In a country that discards the old, I am ashamed to say that I subscribe to the same mentality-younger is better.  With the exception of a couple things.  Old friendships are the best.  I spent the weekend with my oldest, closest girlfriends; like fine wines (or so I’m told, I’m more of a bubbly gal), these girls and our friendships just grow better with age.  And, of course, apparel.  How cool is it when you ask someone where they got a piece and they give you that off-hand, “Oh, it’s vintage” response?  Which basically means, “Yeah, not only is it rad, but you’ll never get your paws on it because it’s one-of-a-kind.”  Not to mention the whole sustainability factor of wearing used clothing.  Today’s get-up is head-to-ankle vintage.  The denim, by my all-time favorite RE/DONE, is a pair of vintage Levi’s, recut in a modern silhouette.  So while I’ll keep fighting the good fight against Mother Nature, I will appreciate the aging of some things.  As long as it’s not myself.
