Spring Fling

AS9A6089_LRI miss being a kid.   The lack of responsibility.  The uncontrollable joy in the little things.  Being able to eat like a pig and look like a twig.  Though I arguably have maintained many a few of these childlike qualities, I like to think that I have grown up a bit.  Except in one regard.  I still become inexplicably thrilled for the holidays.  This is not exclusive to Christmas.  I pretty much love all of them.  With Easter right around the corner, I can’t help but feel a little twinkle of excitement.  Mainly because holidays combine three of my favorite things: eating, dressing up and being with my loved ones.  Though gone are the days when I could get away with a matching bonnet and frock (trust me, if I could, I would), I found this dress an acceptable alternative.  It’s very grownup Easter-appropriate.  Not too fluffy, it still has a feminine flair.  The booties add a bit of downtown chic.  So maybe my dress is more mature, but my Easter plans are not.  I am joining my best friend and her family at a farm.  Think baby donkeys, baby goats, chicken coops and pigs.  Quite frankly, they had me at baby donkeys.  I am counting the moments until Sunday.  Just because I look like an adult doesn’t mean I have to act like one!
